Last week, I was invited to preview the new Shu Uemura collaboration with Yazbukey here in Toronto. I was so impressed by how extensive and well thought out this collection was, that I thought I would share it with you all.
The collaboration is centered around the notion that makeup is transformative. Yazbukey created distinctive looks that are easily attainable with the colour palettes that were presented. My personal favourite was the red (sexy yaz) collection. The pink mauvy tones are great for spring and the lipstick took almost a year of back and forth with the Shu Uemura head office.
I loved having the opportunity to speak with the mind behind the collection for once. As a makeup lover, it's really rare to get an inside look as well as insider tips in regards to a collection. All in all I can't wait to try some of my goodies out and I hope you all get a chance to get your hands on this beautiful collection.
The eyeshadow palette has all complimentary colours with all the colours focusing on the middle coppery gold colour.

This was my favourite look that day. The sexy Yazette is making cranberry look really hot!

Ludovic actually gave us a great tip. The UV base that everyone knows and loves can also be used on the eyelids as a primer to really make colours pop and stay on throughout the day. The difference was great. and I will definitely be using that tip on a regular basis.
Let me know what you are all excited to try and what you would like me to review.
